3 Facial Skincare Essential Tips
Below are what I think are the 5 most important steps to maintaining healthy skin. Its so important to look after your skin, after all it is the largest organ of your body and it lasts a life time.
1. Take Care and Start Early - As I mentioned your skin is there to protect you for a lifetime, which means its so important to start looking after it as soon as possible. Its not true what people say when they say that the "most priciest products are best" because everyones skin is different and works completely different. Although high end branded products can help the skin a lot, the lower end skincare products can also do the trick for under half the price. Its important that the skin is cleansed/washed twice daily so that you can remove all of the impurities from the day.
2. Cleanse & Exfoliate- Washing your skin is so important as it removes daily dirt and sweat and reduces the risk of imperfections and risk of infection. It also keeps your skin looking healthy and also feels so refreshing. If you do have any sort of acne it is best to speak to your doctor to check that exfoliating products are ok with your skin and will not make them worse. If you over wash your skin with harsh products it can get rid of all of your skins natural oils that it needs. You should choose soft skincare products which are soft on the skin such as creamy products and avoid using products which contain alcohol. When washing the skin you should use warm or cool water as it helps the skin keep its natural oils and isn't too harsh. You should always dry your skin after by patting it rather than rubbing to as that can harm the skin.
3. Moisturiser - These products stop your skin from drying out and if you have spots or oily skin there is no reason why you cant use these. You can pick them up almost anywhere on the high street in beauty stores aswell. If you do have oily skin then its best to choose lightweight, oil free moisturisers so that your skin is not over loaded and becomes greasy. If you have dry skin then you should try to moisturise at least twice a day to keep your skin hydrated. Tip - If you use moisturiser on damp skin for example after a night wash then this helps to seal the moisture deep into your skin.
